Signal integrity first
Layout follows schematic intent. Power, return paths and decoupling are budgeted before a trace is poured.

I design the board, write the firmware, and build the application operators use every day — across medical devices, industrial automation and connected IoT products.
01 About
A board that routes poorly becomes a firmware bug, and a firmware bug becomes an operator complaint. I work across all of it.
Fourteen years across medical devices, geotechnical monitoring, industrial automation and connected products.
The work runs the whole way down — schematic capture and PCB layout, firmware bring-up on STM32, and the desktop and web applications operators use every day.
Schematic capture, stack-up and layer planning.
Startup, drivers, RTOS tasks and control loops.
Enclosure, calibration, assembly and test fixtures.
Operator UI, reporting and the systems around it.
Layout follows schematic intent. Power, return paths and decoupling are budgeted before a trace is poured.
A design is not done when it works on the bench. Test points, calibration and assembly steps are part of the deliverable.
Firmware nobody can monitor is a liability, so the operator interface and reporting ship alongside the device.
02 Toolkit
A working set, not a badge list — these are the tools actually used on recent boards, firmware and applications. Type to filter.
03 Experience
Fourteen years across the bench, the production floor and the design desk — summarised by the kind of work each role actually covered.
Led hardware and firmware R&D for medical devices and endoscopy imaging systems — taking board designs from schematic to production, alongside quality management, technical documentation and field support.
Built embedded systems for geotechnical monitoring and OEM modules — programming, calibration and field trials on STM32 targets, with paired Android applications and manufacturing documentation ready for production.
Ran PCB assembly through end-of-line functional testing — calibration, ESD control, material planning and production scheduling, then commissioning products on site and training the operators who run them.
Design and ship desktop, web and mobile applications on top of the hardware — real-time data acquisition, process monitoring and reporting that bridge operator workflows to backend services.
04 Selected work
A cross-section of recent work — from multi-layer control boards with tight signal integrity budgets, to production applications and vision experiments.
Multi-layer control board for an endoscopy imaging system, built around an ARM STM32F4xx with camera control, illumination and data path management.
MOSFET-based I/O board driving 8 lighting channels with an RTC acting as scheduler — fully programmable exposure and duty cycles without a host present.
Control system for an automatic endoscope/scope washer — sequencing wash cycles, interlocks and fault handling without operator intervention.
Self-directed experiments to understand computer vision methods for manufacturing inspection — from component-level ROI extraction to alignment and segmentation.
Cross-platform desktop application for real-time weighing capture and monitoring, built to simplify operator workflow and reporting in a QC process.
Integrated home automation with burglar alarm, video door phone and CCTV monitoring for residential, hotel and apartment buildings.

Available for embedded firmware, PCB design and industrial software work. If it involves a board, a control loop or the interface operators use — I would like to hear about it.
